The Sterling's Sell Clipps for 2 Billion. Wait, What?

So long, Donald.

Well, I honestly don't know how I feel about this...

In a world that still deal's with racism everyday, this one is kind of hard to swallow. Just to think, last month, The Clippers were making a big time run to the NBA Finals, they have a stacked team and poised to make the run, then Donald Sterling was on the hot seat for the things he said about Magic Johnson, for the hateful and hurtful words about blacks. Supposedly for those that knew him and knew of him, this has been an ongoing issue. He has always been a racist. Do I know the guy? Absolutely not, so I can really only comment on what I hear and what I see. But in all honesty, how can you hire blacks to work for you? Did you really only hire them because they made you money? Did you not think that at some point, 97 percent of your team is going to be of different races? Because I don't know if you have noticed, but there aren't a ton of white basketball players trotting up and down your basketball court. Your starting lineup this year would have been J.J. Redick, half of Blake Griffin, and if you want to count Hedo Turkoglu. The rest of your team is black. That's black Donald, black guys. Also, what about his wife? Why is she secluded from all of this? She had to have known all about this. Did she hide it because she was being a good and loving wife, while he was being an awful husband? Did she not know? Is she a racist? We all pointed the finger at Mr. Sterling, looking for his head. But honestly, what about the wife? She could have been just as bad as he was, she was just never recorded...

When Sterling's now infamous speech about "Promoting and bringing blacks" into his arena came out, my first thought was "Oh god. This guy is going to end up in a nuce." "This guy has got to go." But the more I thought about it, the more I thought "Well, did buy the team fair and square." But that changed. I was back and forth with it. It was like an argument inside my own brain. Do we get rid of people who are like that? For just a racist comment? Even though I'm sure he has said way worse then what was recorded. Or do you make him suffer by watching his teams quit on him, nobody wanting to go play for him. After thinking about that a bit, I thought that might be the best thing to happen to him. Everyone just up and quit the Clippers. Ultimately I think he got what he deserved. Essentially he was banned from all NBA activity. Was going to be forced to sell.

Again, this is also something that drives me nuts. Because now you're going to force him to sell the team, which means at the end of the day, he is going to be rewarded for things he has said. He bought the team for what? 12.5 million more or less? Has turned a little bit of a profit and sold for 2 billion? There is something wrong with that. I wish there was more that could have been done, but that's why I'm here and their there. Essentially he's being payed for the hateful things he has said. It's almost a catch 22, people. You wanted him gone, now he's gone for 2 billion dollars and now that's a problem. If that's all it took to get 2 billion dollars, I would have been racist a long time ago. I'm obviously kidding as my father is black and my mother is white. But can you see why I'm torn about this whole thing?

How do you all feel about it?
